“Their sound has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
(Rom. 10:18, NKJV)
We are currently examining exactly how the knowledge of the gospel of Christ will increase and spread, as part of the sixth kingdom of Christ that is established on earth. Rev. 14:6 is the Scripture we are thinking through: “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people …” Various facets of this verse were discussed in the previous teaching, and positioned in a wider context.
It should now be clear that the Messenger of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, works and speaks in and through the body of Christ to establish the gospel of the glory on earth. John 3:34 explains that this Son, Jesus, “whom God has sent speaks the words of God”. Here the word words is actually rhema, which is to say, the language of the One who creates through speaking, but who also manifests Christ’s identities through these “smaller utterances”. In the teaching of Day 1406-1408 we wrote about this truth in great detail, and we pointed out that the intentional construction of the poiēma, or poem, is THE BRIDE, “members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones” (Eph. 5:30), the individuals into whom He has blown life. These “members” or “breaths” of Christ are each a uniquely crafted (Ps. 139:15) word in the greater poem, which is Jesus. The fullness of Who Jesus is He has shared in a manifold quantity irreplaceable words which each reveal something about Him, and makes manifest His glorious Form on earth.
If we then read in Rev. 14:6 of the Messenger who proclaims the eternal gospel of Christ in the heart/middle of the spiritual realm (= heavens), to all inhabitants of the earth, it can only occur through the rhema words: “Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.” (Ps. 19:4). Paul later quotes this Psalm when he explains in Rom. 10:14-15a: “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” One who is sent with a specific message is a MESSENGER or an ANGEL! The Bride is given a mandate to move across the earth with this message. “As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!’ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our report?’ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the [rhema] word of God. But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: ‘Their sound has gone out to all the earth, and their [rhema] words to the ends of the world.’” (Rom. 10:15b-18). And as Jesus Himself made clear in John 8:47: He who is of God hears God’s [rhema] words …
