“… nor have entered into the heart of man … ”

 (1 Cor. 2:9, NKJV)

Readers of these teachings should not forget that our overarching focus at the moment is that of the sixth kingdom, namely the kingdom of Christ. As we’ve repeatedly pointed out, the rhema-word is one of the founding forces in this kingdom that will be involved in the restoration of all things (Matt. 17:11). It is also a key that can currently open a lot of locked doors. Earlier in these teachings we explained that “the key … of David” (Isa. 22:22) is the mystery of the rhema-word: “who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens” (Rev. 3:7). Thus far we’ve only really sketched very vague outlines of what we suspect the Bible may say about this, but: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Cor. 2:9).

We are slowly uncovering this great “matter” that God conceals (Prov. 25:2). What we do know at this point is that it is concerned with the characteristic nature of Christ, the Anointed. After the Father’s decision to generate the Son from within Himself, according to Ps. 2:7, there was a superimposition of the Father’s nature onto the Son, as we explained earlier. The Son was then “the express image of his person” (Heb. 1:3, KJV). Strong defines the phrase express image as: “engraving …, the figure stamped, that is, an exact copy or representation”. The Son, in turn, gives birth to his “sons of oil” (Zech. 4:14, RV) through the process of becoming born again. These sons are, according to 1 Sam. 2:35, faithful priests who will act according to what is in the heart and soul of God. For them God builds a secure house, so that “he shall walk before My anointed forever”.

Earlier we argued from Ps. 2:6 that Jesus as King is superimposed over Zion, the Bride of Christ! Before time there was likewise a “superimposition (of time, place, order, etc.), as a relation of distribution” of the characteristic nature of Jesus to His Body, “the express image of his person” (Heb. 1:3, KJV), “engraving … the figure stamped, that is, an exact copy or representation”. Christ the Anointed is the image of God, but Christ the Anointed is also the glory of God (2 Cor. 4:4). The anointed Bride/Body of the Anointed Head, Jesus, lost not only the Image of God at the fall, but also the Glory of God. Rom. 3:23 makes it clear: “ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. The new man must thus again be clothed and renewed to the knowledge of the image of His Creator (Col. 3:10). This is what we are currently engaged with, as part of the release of, amongst others, the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Understanding and the Spirit of Knowledge, all involved in empowering the anointed Body (who are witnesses of the glory), as parts of the seven-fold Spirit of Christ (Isa. 11:2; Rom. 8:9). We are, according to Luke 24:48, also “witnesses of these things”.

As the apostle states in 2 Pet 1:12 – “For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.”

  • Selah: Are you indeed a witness of these things?
  • Read: We now start reading the entire Bible for the eleventh time. Read Gen. 1-3 with new eyes.
  • Memorise: 3:15 – why is this such a core Scripture?
