“”For nation will rise against nation …”
(Matt 24:7)
The Scripture quoted above is concerned with all the visible signs of Christ’s second-coming. This includes the manifestation of one ethnos rising up against another ethnos. Although a message promoting greater tolerance is spread today, there exists a very strong tension across the divides of race and colour, which binds certain people to the false horns of a fabricated altar of ‘God’. Various ethnic religions, in various levels of extremity, exist all across the world. The theology of black liberation, the Klu Klux Klan, and Nazism, for example, are all founded on a theology of racial discrimination.
The ethnic religion gaining ground on local soil is entitled the British Israelism. This faith system is a spill-over of especially Britain’s notion of being “God’s nation”, a right that belongs only to them and their pure-bred descendants. The premise of this movement is based on Gen 3:15, which according to them makes a distinction between God’s seed and the seed of the snake. On account of this distinction there exists children of the woman (thus children of God, or Israel) and children of the snake (strictly speaking children of Satan, and thus unable to come to salvation). Since all the black and yellow races descend from Gam, they are damned. According to this doctrine these races have no soul (erroneously translated for spirit) and are therefore classified as animals. The Messiah only came for the true children of Israel, and not the Jews, which they see as a bastard nation who cannot be saved. All whites that exist across the world today are descendants of the scattered ten tribes of Israel.
Paul terms these arguments “cunningly devised fables” (2 Pet 1:16). A spirit of racism lurks behind all ethnic faith systems, and this is driven through a spirit of fear, which always affronts faith. Therefore Paul clearly states that we should not “give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith” (1 Tim 1:4).
Two Scriptures unequivocally point out how perverted and distorted the basic premises of this movement are. The first comes from Acts 17:26 – “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings …” Also Rev 5:9, which praises Christ for his work of salvation and then states the following: “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.”
And then the trump card – like Moses’ Siphora was black, the Bride in Song of Songs is prototypically presented as a Shulamite, “dark and lovely” (SoS 1:5, GW)!
