Men’s need for exclusive male activities of this order is largely due to the continuation of their unfulfilled childhood gang activities. Often it makes a good social contribution to society, but it also has the great advantage of getting well-connected, being social, making business contacts, fulfilling a need for humanitarian involvement, as well as attaining social status. Most of the organizations have secret rituals, but they have little implications for their members or their families. Freemasonry, however, seems to be very innocent in the first stages, but later on has greater spiritual implications as a result of the rituals they have to pass through and vows they have to take to eventually get to the 33rd degree. There are also other secret organizations that deliberately deceive their initiators and systematically lead them into the occult underworld. The general Biblical principle that is given to us in this regard is Luke 12:2-3: “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.” On the basis of this spiritual law, every believer can ask God for any kind of secrecy to come to light, and it will be revealed over time, even those things too shameful, which are done by them in secret (Eph. 5:12).
